The Open is always a busy time for Tony, and the 2017 edition has been no exception. He offered his commentary and insight on the event’s games, players and courses, all whilst promoting Scotch Whisky brand Glenmorangie as part of an ongoing partnership with the brand.
As one of his generation’s most successful golf players, eight-time European Tour winner and World Golf Hall of Fame inductee since 2002, Tony Jacklin is the ambassador for the Scotch Whisky brand, Glenmorangie, who champion themselves as the ‘Spirit of The Open’. He has been Glenmorangie’s ambassador since 2012 and, with both Tony and the Scotch Whisky brand having close ties to the game, the golf course seems to be the natural place to find harmony between the two and continue the successful pairing for a fifth year.
Throughout the Open, Tony promoted the brand in his communication with publications including TalkSport, Sky Sports, The Scottish Sun and The Daily Express. He also attended press interviews in his ambassadorial role, with Tony himself stating “I am thrilled to be here alongside Glenmorangie once again.”
During what is arguably one of the peaks of the golfing calendar, Tony also made appearances at two exclusive dinner events, speaking on the topic of the Championships and his career highs at the Tate Liverpool on Thursday and Saturday, as well as celebrating with guests of Glenmorangie during hospitality lunches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
